July 26th and rain is still the word.

June 21st 2009, rain is the word for this past week. We managed to get the tomatoes planted out into the field and they are looking good. The seeded crops are all up now and looking for some sun. This is the time when weeds can take over a crop. With conditions this wet, it’s hard to get out to cultivate and hoe. The crops slow down and the weeds grow faster. I hope this week provides enough windows of dry to get out and knock the weeds back. The forecast does not look good.
