Despite the furnaces’ best effort the temperature dropped to 24 in the greenhouse.<br/>The lettuce survived OK but the potatoes lost their tops. You’ll see below that they are still alive and coming back well. Yes we are still in New England and yes it is February. I planted a row of potatoes (the last of last years crop that had sprouted in the pantry) in one of the greenhouse beds in the middle of January. I hope to be digging fresh fingerlings sometime in April. Stay tuned... In the greenhouse the first baby greens of the new year are ready to cut, with more on the way.
